Starting pay range is $18.82 - $26.36 per hour. Highlands Ranch Metro District is accepting applications for a Parkways Irrigation Technician I to assist in the maintenance of community parkways. Applicants must have a strong desire to work in a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities include maintenance and repair of parkway irrigation systems, ensuring acceptable parkways appearance in assigned area and assisting other staff as needed such as snow removal, sidewalk sweeping and turf renovations. Two years of experience installing and/or maintaining commercial sprinkler systems is preferred. Applicants must have a fundamental understanding of water conservation practices, basic computer knowledge and the ability to work independently. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. A valid driver’s license and motor vehicle record, as deemed acceptable by the District’s insurance provider, is also required. Pre-employment screening, which includes background check, drug screen and motor vehicle record check will be performed for all candidates who are offered employment.
