Help with stones

My grandfather was a stone cut and when he died he left me a lot of stones. I know nothing about what they are or the worth. I hate to just leave them in the basement if anyone can help Id and maybe sell or give an idea of value it would be great. I don't have money to spare but maybe we could work out a deal on a % if sold. Thanks for any input
