METRO DETROIT — Multiple people have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 2-year-old boy Thursday on I-75 in Detroit, Michigan State Police officials said Saturday. The agency said on Twitter Saturday evening that its Special Investigation Section made "multiple arrests," but did not specify when the arrests were made or how many people were arrested. "This is still in the investigation stages, so bear with us as we continue to work this case," police said. The child was later identified as Brison Christian, the son of the driver, Brian Christian, The Detroit News reported. The other child, a 9-year-old brother to Brison, was transported to a local hospital and was initially listed in serious condition, according to police. He was later released from the hospital, according to The Detroit News. Police said a preliminary investigation of the I-75 shooting showed that a driver entered south I-75 from 7 Mile Road in Detroit when a light-colored, four-door passenger vehicle pulled alongside them. Someone from that vehicle opened fire, police said.
