Press release from the Atlanta Police Department: 06/19/2021 Preliminary Information: On 6/18/21, around 11:23 pm, officers responded to the intersection of Piedmont Ave and Ellis St in reference to a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim stated while walking north on Piedmont Ave he was shot. The victim advised he was aware of why he was shot and have no further description of the suspect, The victim was transported to Grady in stable condition. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident and to possibly identify anyone involved.
