You and I see things entirely differently. I do not see shutting down the pipeline as a problem. I see Trump and Obama not embracing green power sooner. This nation should have achieved energy independence years ago by weening itself off of oil altogether. Oil companies have worked very hard to keep us running on fossil fuels. Oil companies have been gouging us on gs prices for decades. We have cleaner fuel. We have homegrown ethanol that is being produced right here in the U.S. that works in our exiting cars. We have been buying gas that contains ethanol for decades. Why haven’t we gone to pure ethanol. It is cheaper, cleaner and creates jobs for farmers. The BIG mistake here was using oil for too many years. Obama was slow to adopt bio fuels. Trump shut down biofuel production in favor of oil. These were big mistakes. Biofuel equals energy independence, stable gas prices, cleaner air and jobs in America. There is NO down side. You would think that a businessman like Trump would have weighed each option. But trump is heavily invested in oil. Therefore, he bolstered his own ingests.
