One more good why we should have converted to biofuel years ago

Biofuel (ethanol) can be made from any plant that produces sugar. Corn is a great source for biofuel. As you may know, our government has been paying farmers to produce an abundance of corn since the world war. We pay farmers to produce far more corn than we will ever so sure or sell. This was a way of creating food security and independence in America. Why not take this abundance of corn, that we are already growing and use it to make fuel? The ONLY reason why America still manufactures gasoline and diesel from oil is because the oil company lobbyists are making it happen. Oil companies contribute heavily to political campaigns. This is why trump could nott and up to oil companies. They donated hundreds of millions of dollars to his campaign. Since Biden was elected, oil companies are FINALLY doing the right thing. They are converting oil to gasoline refineries to biofuel plants. Oil companies see the writing on the wall and are converting to 100% ethanol as their product. This should have happened long ago. And for the right reasons. But at least it is happening. Farmers are rejoicing. America will have an new domestic product to export to other countries. We will become a producer rather than a consumer. If there is one thing that Americans are great at, it farming. Farms to fuel tanks.
