I'm a seasoned musician with deep influences, from Motown to grunge to garage to indie. I'm a Generation X-er. If that's too old for you, I get it. I've been in many bands over the years, all original music. I'm looking for like-minded types to jam and collaborate with and maybe get something going. I'm open to any style (including covers) but tend to lean on blues-based compositions. My voice has attitude and can be rough and soulful like the Animals or snotty like Cage the Elephant. Garage and blues are my sweet spot. I'm probably a more interesting singer than a guitarist, but I can hold my own on a Telecaster and drive a song and would prefer to do that rather than just be a vocalist. I love to improvise and make up songs on the spot and then make them better. Next thing you know, you have a set and a gig at Kirbys. Anyway, that's how we did it back in my day.
