Job Description Shop Tech – Ashland, VA Responsibilities and Qualifications Job Title: Guitar/Ukulele/Stringed Instrument Technician - Music Industry Status: Non-Exempt. Full Time Position Department: Shop QC Reports to: Shop Manager Location: Ashland, VA Position Summary: Kala Brand Music Co. is seeking a full time instrument technician for our Ashland, VA location. We are seeking individuals with integrity that are self-motivated, have a great work ethic and an eye for detail. Primarily working with all sorts of stringed instruments, with a lot of hands on work. We are on a quest for a person that is team oriented and willing to go the extra mile. Primary Responsibilities: • Custom installations of pickups, preamps and strap buttons. • Inventory control and management of an assortment of instrument parts • Quality control checks on imports instruments • Repairs for instruments under warranty, in a timely fashion • Setting up new instruments for outgoing orders • Warehouse cross training to assist warehouse Required Qualifications: • Basic power and hand tool knowledge Preferred Qualifications: • Any experience with Netsuite is a plus COVID-19 considerations: Kala Brand Music Co. continues to monitor, local, state and federal agencies to remain in compliance with the latest recommendations concerning COVID-19.
