Description
I am doing upgrades to my house in Federal Way and looking for someone to help. Skill level is less important than common sense and reliability. I have 2 decks to re-build, 9 doors to hang, a house full of carpet that needs to be pulled up, hot water heater to install, some painting and staining, some landscaping and a variety of other projects.
Your function would be to help move and hold materials, fasten as directed and be of general assistance. If you have a construction backround that's beneficial but not necessary. It is more important you are interested and willing to work and learn. I've been in the trades 35 years and enjoy teaching skills but only to those willing and interested in doing the work to learn. Above all, you show up for work, on time and ready to go, so please- no drug, drinking, car or other problems. I've got all the tools needed. Bring a tape if you have one but only if you know how to read it- I'll teach you if you don't.
Application instructions: Failure to follow these instructions will disqualify you [read that again]. Send me a resume or very brief description of your experience. Provide your name and a reliable phone number with a good time to call you. I don't do text at all- first part of the interview will be in a phone call and we'll arrange a time to meet at the house for a 2nd interview and hiring.
Preference will be given to those closest to Federal Way- commuting is too time consuming. Work will be ongoing through the summer with breaks to the schedule. This is not full time and I'm flexible with scheduling and jobs will be project driven.
Starting pay will be $15-18 Hr cash. Completion bonuses available for a good worker and a skilled worker could merit higher pay. Looking to make hiring decisions this coming week.
