Ultrasound Event Doubletree by Hilton Rochester-Mayo Clinic Area Rochester, MN June 23rd Males: 9am-noon (8:30am arrival) Females: 1pm-4pm (12:30pm arrival) Pay is $175 pretax This is for an Ultrasound Scan subject for a medical equipment demonstration. • As a scan subject, you would need to lie quietly on the scan table while our client (the ultrasound device manufacturer) scans your chest, neck, and legs. • If you have not been a scan subject before, this is very similar to getting an ultrasound at your doctor’s office. The key differences are (a) you must lie on the table quietly and (b) you’ll be on the table for an extended period of time Client looking for a variety of ages, body sizes, etc. Requested attire – Gym attire: gym shorts, t-shirt and tennis shoes To apply please reply with a recent headshot/selfie….along with your current and accurate age, height and weight. Thank you! -We will be conducting cardiac ultrasound exams so females will be scanned along the left intercostal space and half way down the rib cage along the armpit. Also the bottom of the sternum/mid abdomen will be scanned. This is for user testing/training troubleshooting scanning heart with breast tissue. We want to set expectations for the female model that attention will be paid to that region,. - In the clinical setting this exam protocol includes undressing from the waist up to allow scanning for optimal cardiac windows. Our objective is to mimic real world clinical settings and provide a real world scanning experience. Therefore, I’d request that all participants are comfortable undressing from the waist up. We will provide hospital style gown with ties in the front, but a string bikini top can be worn for added coverage if models prefers. -- Just to clarify-we aren’t doing breast imaging. The female models can wear string bathing suit tops as long as they aren’t too tight around the ribs.
