Looking for puppy or young dog

Ok, so we have decided to get a puppy to fill home. I found a darling at the Rockingham County Animal Shelter yesterday. When I went to do the paperwork I was told she would have to stay until she is spayed which was over 3 weeks away. She was in a smaller cage and 5 months old, so she pretty much filled up the cage. To me that seems outrageous. So, yesterday my 19 yr old sees a puppy at the Guilford County animal shelter. They are still under covid restrictions and the 1st appt is July 2nd and they do not hold animals. So if you reply adopt I may just snap. If you are anyone you know has puppies, or younger dogs please let me know. It will be fixed and vetted
