Skillset Group has several positions open in LA and Orange Counties for Forklift Operators and Material Handlers. All shifts available at the time of this post. If you are an experienced forklift operator with freight dock or warehouse experience, we want to speak with you!! Job Duties: • Responsible for the operation of forklifts to move materials and equipment. • Safely handle materials • Adjust machine settings to complete tasks according to specification, accurately and in a timely manner • Interpret hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed • Safely unloading freight from trailers either using a forklift or manually. • Safely loading freight into trailers either using a forklift or manually. • Ensuring that freight moved matches all aspects of the associated movement bill or cross dock. • Complying with all aspects of dock paperwork procedures while moving freight. • Attending all regularly scheduled safety meetings. • Attending all regularly scheduled training meetings. • Ensuring that the dock and associated areas are kept clean. • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and safe environment.
