You are a regular customer in the grocery store where I work; Asian, caramel complexion, usually with your young daughter or grandmother. We usually have typical customer/associate types of verbal exchanges, then you linger awhile in the area while collecting items while I try my hardest not to stare at you like a pervert.
The other day you approached me and surprisingly started asking questions about me…instead of groceries like usual. Really caught me off guard because that is something that women NEVER do. Your grandmother came around a corner with your daughter, and we returned to our usual customer/associate routine.
I don’t want to make assumptions; it was hard to tell if you were into me, or just being friendly. Probably just being friendly.
Either way…that short exchange really brightened my entire day.
Even if you were just being friendly, and there was nothing more to it, you made me feel…attractive! Like it was okay to be myself instead of acting like someone I’m not to try to impress you.
Women…never do that.
Thank you.
