Blues-Rock group seeks jam/improvisation musicians

The SD Blues-Rock Meetup Group has been hosting monthly jam sessions since 2017. For our next event, I'm looking for musicians who have experience with extended jams and rhythmic grooves. Can you show us how to play a song melody and then solo and improvise over the melody? My musicians-- guitarists, bassists, drummers---don't have much experience playing unstructured melodies.
