Small general contracting company in New Jersey specializing in light-commercial construction is seeking a field project manager for work throughout NJ and occasionally in NY.
Overall Responsibilities:
-Oversee construction jobsite activities for multiple projects
-Control of project costs, quality, timing, and safety
-Provide customer service and satisfaction to clients
Duties:
-manage, supervise, and assist in construction activities in the field for multiple projects
-manage and schedule subcontractors
-order and schedule materials
-lead field meetings with subcontractors, vendors, and/or clients
-maintain and update construction schedules
-schedule and be present at municipal inspections
-communicate daily with company owner via phone and email, including daily work logs
Requirements:
-minimum 2 years' experience working with a general contractor on commercial and residential projects
-read, interpret, and understand construction drawings
-basic knowledge of carpentry, framing, drywall, painting, masonry, electric, plumbing, and HVAC
-strong verbal and communication skills
-ability to take detailed and complete notes every day
-must have own vehicle and valid driver's license
-Spanish speaking a plus
