Enjoy an afternoon of live classical music in your local neighborhood, highlighting local and professional talent of all ages! Master the Music invites you to experience live classical music close to home with this entertaining and exciting orchestral concert showcasing classical musicians from our very own community! Up to a dozen young artists ages 8-18, selected by their teachers, will be performing as soloists with orchestra for their very first time, with Dr. Michael Schneider conducting the Master the Music Orchestra. In addition, there will be a brand new orchestral premiere composed by TCU graduate Emily Horton, as well as solo performances by Michael Schneider on Master the Music's newly acquired 9'4" Mason and Hamlin concert grand. (That's bigger than the 9' pianos on stage at Bass Hall!) Come and share our excitement with this amazing mix of seasoned musicians with the energy of our young artists and hear the musical possibilities in our community! Recommended for ages 5 & up
