Join us as we explore a brief history of Ancestor veneration and share a few ways to honor and elevate your Ancestors. Ancestor veneration has become a trending topic over the past few years, but for those of us who practice this tradition daily, it's anything but trendy. Join Toni Maurice-Milburn of Ebony Sage Apothecary for a deep and enlightening discussion on the importance of working with our Ancestors. Some topics she will cover during this 4 hour workshop include: *What exactly is Ancestor veneration *The importance of building and maintaining an Ancestor altar * What are offerings, when should you give them and how to dispose of them *Dealing with problematic relations *Using Ancestor veneration to heal generational trauma within yourself and those who've passed on *Daily working vs special occasion ritual A communal Ancestral altar will be erected and participants are encouraged to bring an item to place on the altar during class. Lunch is included and will be provided by McAllister's Deli.
