Annual Women's Only Tea Time Fundraiser Join us for another Tea Time for a Cause to celebrate our brave survivors as they journey towards independence from abuse. As always, be prepared to enjoy a colorful afternoon filled with good conversation, delectable desserts, scrumptious savories, entertainment and raffles! We look forward to hosting you. For sponsorships contact NFS for more details at [email protected] NFS is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that was formed in 2015 to fill a need in the community for confidential, culturally-sensitive services and assistance to immigrant communities experiencing crises due to family violence and abuse.  Noor Family Services provides pro-bono legal assistance and support to victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault as they engage with the legal system. These services include obtaining and enforcing protective orders, pursuing divorce and child custody issues, and other legal matters, including seeking criminal charges against the batterer.  We also focus on providing immediate access to safety and shelter. Our services in this area include crisis call staffing, intake assessments, shelter referral, legal and therapeutic services.  Life Skills Enhancement is also an essential element of NFS crisis management programs.  More than 50 percent of the women who seek refuge with Noor Family Services lack the basic life skills they need to become economically and emotionally independent. Through our case management program, we offer a variety of services that are tailored to victim’s needs. Trained staff and volunteers work to educate, empathize, and empower victims and survivors by developing goal-oriented plans that include job training, education, childcare, parenting skills, stress management, and legal advocacy. Our goal is to foster self-sufficiency and stability, thereby minimizing the likelihood that they will return to an abusive environment.
