The Gull Lake Classic at Bar Harbor Supper Club is on! Join us August 27th & 28th for a great return to boat shows & safe social events. The Gull Lake Classic is on! We’re excited to announce details of the Gull Lake Classic at Bar Harbor on August 27th & 28th 2021. This year, we are highlighting Chris-Craft boats of all shapes and sizes, and will have the World’s Oldest Chris-Craft hull (#4, Miss Algonac) on display! We are also featuring the boats of Detroit and the Saint Clair River (Gar Wood, Hacker & Belle Isle). We anticipate that Chris-Craft boats will be coming to the show from all over the country, so we ask that you think of your application as a consideration to have your boat included in the show. We will notify you no later than August 1st of whether or not your boat has been accepted for the show. If we can not accommodate your boat in the show, your application fees will be fully refunded. Bar Harbor Supper Club has added patio space to accommodate for even more outdoor seating, and is graciously hosting this event using their own docks and boat launch. FRIDAY ACTIVITIES Friday, August 27th Friday afternoon will kick off the event with a cruise on the Gull chain. You can launch on your own at Bar Harbor, with the cruise starting at 1:00, with a return to the docks at 4:00. Friday evening will consist of an “All-American Bar-B-Q” at Fort Mahogany starting at 6:00. The menu will include burgers, brats, cole slaw and potato salad, and cost is $20/person. There is a strict limit of 200 people, with a maximum of four persons per boat registration being allowed. Friday night overnight parking for boats participating in the cruise and the show is available. SATURDAY ACTIVITIES Saturday, August 28th The show itself will take place on Saturday, August 28th, at Bar Harbor. Please plan to have your boat in place by 9:00 AM, with awards handed out at 3:00pm. The show will conclude at 4:00pm. 7:00am – 9:00am Complimentary Skipper’s Breakfast, Bar Harbor 9:00am – 4:00pm Show Open 3:00pm – Awards Presentation We’re really looking forward to this show for many reasons including a return to being able to have large events and gatherings once again. We ask that you follow the State of MN guidelines for your own personal safety and for the different safety requirements for vaccinated and non-vaccinated individuals. The Land-O-Lakes Classic Boat Club asks that you follow these guidelines carefully as we are not responsible for any COVID transmission or infections from other participants. If you are feeling ill on either day, we ask that you not participate in any activities where you may be in close contact with others.
