We are looking for a hardworking and dedicated employee with good communication and navigating skills to join our team in an exciting new field. We haul recycled water, ground water and potable water to residential and construction properties typically in and around the city of Palo Alto (Los Altos, Portola Valley, Menlo Park, Woodside). Though sometimes we do get requests for areas further out. We are getting very busy due to the drought and fire season ahead and need another driver to help us out. We will need someone who is available (Tues. - Sat. from 8am- 2:30pm). This is a temporary position (now until end of November) but with the potential to take on more hours if desired and if business continues to grow we could have a full time position available again. We can be a little flexible with scheduling as long as you can cover most morning during our peak times of 8am-12pm, so please still apply if you are interested, and let us know what your exact availability is. Job Duties: - Drive a 2000+ gallon water truck from job site to job site on a predetermined route. - Utilize the water truck's PTO (power turn on) water pump and manage it efficiently. - Ability to set up and break down equipment (up to 50Ibs ) upon arriving and leaving a job sites over the course of a day. - Ability to roll up a 100 ft. fire hose in a reasonable amount of time and hold/direct a fire hose capable of 80+ gallons per minute. - Water landscapes taking precautions to follow the customers directions. - Communicate with customers regarding their irrigation needs and any special requests; clearly communicate with management regarding updating customer account info. and daily route status. -Keep an accurate log of visits to water treatment site. - Use Google calendar on your phone to check route schedule and site notes. - Errands from time to time including filling up trucks at gas station, washing trucks, dropping vehicles off at mechanic shop, supply run. - Assistance with cleaning and maintenance of water tanks and help from time to time with tank installations. * You must have a clean driving record and be willing to pass a background check upon hire. Experience in landscaping, irrigating, fire hose, truck driving and/or mechanics is a plus!
