In this full-time, year-round position, you'll support a residential HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) team by keeping their vehicles running smoothly, warehouse stocked, and project materials delivered on time. The ideal person for this position is someone who loves taking things apart and putting them back together successfully. They’ll have experience as a mechanic or have worked on a wide variety of motors from 2-stroke to large vehicles. As the sole person responsible for knowing where everything belongs, you’ll turn our warehouse into your kingdom. Within a few weeks, you’ll learn which items are needed most often and should be placed within easy reach of even our least tall employees. Your job is to keep the team going strong while letting them know that there is “a place for everything and everything in its place.” Eco Performance Builders is a licensed HVAC, General, and Insulation contracting company with headquarters in Concord, CA. REQUIREMENTS: -Mechanically inclined. You enjoy working with your hands and fixing things. You know motors, tools have done some type of labor in the past (even if at home) that involved automotive or other mechanical repairs. -Smart. You enjoy learning how things work and are smart enough to read the manual or look for solutions online first before asking others. -Highly organized. You’re neat and love when there’s “a place for everything and everything in its place.” -A good driver. Clean CA driver's license record for the past 6 years, and your own vehicle; truck (preferred). -Reliable. You want a full-time job and are willing to show up every day by 8:00 a.m. -Drug-free. You’re free of illegal drugs and can pass a criminal background check. -Vaccinated for Covid-19 or willing to become vaccinated before beginning employment. Much of your time will be spent in our warehouse in Concord, CA, but you may drive our vehicle or your own (with reimbursed mileage) to projects in the East Bay: central Contra Costa County, Oakland, and Berkeley. Compensation: Starting out at $23.00 per hour and higher depending on experience as a mechanic. This position offers 6 paid holidays in the first year, paid sick time, and medical benefits (50% toward Kaiser’s basic plan), plus 401(k) matching for retirement.
