PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — The ZIP code that covers the majority of Park Slope has hit a major milestone in getting its residents vaccinated against the coronavirus, new data shows.
The 11215 ZIP code — which covers most of Park Slope as well as parts of Gowanus — surpassed a 75-percent vaccination rate on Thursday, meaning three quarters of those 18 years and older have gotten at least their first shot of the vaccine, according to city data.
The ZIP code had been hovering just below the 75-percent threshold for at least a week.
The 11217 ZIP code, which covers a northern slice of Park Slope, had reached a 71 percent partial vaccination rate as of Friday, data shows.

Park Slope has constantly held one of the highest vaccination rates in Brooklyn, which overall had a 59-percent partial vaccination rate among adults on Friday.
Brooklyn reached the 50-percent mark for full vaccination last week.
Brooklyn and the Bronx have both lagged behind the other three boroughs since the start of the city's vaccine distribution as officials struggled to reach neighborhoods hardest-hit by the pandemic.
In other neighborhoods — including ZIP codes in Canarsie, Brownsville and Crown Heights — the percent of adults partially vaccinated is as low as 43 percent, data shows.
The city has also started keeping track of the vaccinate rate in terms of the total population given the fact that New Yorkers as young as 12 years old are now eligible for the vaccine. In terms of all ages, 65.33 percent of residents in 11215 have gotten at least their first dose, data shows.
