Seeking volunteers to help with the Disney Wilderness Preserve Native Plant Garden. The Nature Conservancy's Disney Wilderness Preserve has a wonderful native pollinator garden surrounding the side of the front office building that is in need of some work to make it as beautiful and inviting as it once was. This "garden reboot" is a project that SCA intern, Katie, decided to take on during her time at the preserve and she needs help to make her vision become a reality! If you are interested in volunteering to do some garden work with us, please consider registering for these volunteer work days. Volunteers must register to participate, wear closed toed shoes, bring their own water, snacks, work gloves, sunglasses, a mask that will cover their nose and mouth, and bug and sun protection. The group will meet at the welcome center at 8:30am each day. All other equipment will be provided by The Nature Conservancy. When: July 17, 31, and August 1, 8:30am-11:30am Where: Disney Wilderness Preserve July 17: Tilling soil. July 31: Planting and mulching. August 1: Planting and mulching.
