Description

Job located in Sumner, WA Load and unload truck and move material within the warehouse or production facility. • Load and unload trucks utilizing a powered forklift • Bring palletized food products in and out of the warehouse (pick orders) utilizing “First-In, First-Out” (FIFO) procedures when selecting finished goods • Stage shipments for pickup • Re-arrange and organize inventory to maximize space in the freezer, cooler and dry storage locations according to FIFO procedures • Shipping and receiving clerical duties include counting and recording daily product inventory and working with bill of ladings and shipping documents • Receive cardboard boxes, film, labels, dry, frozen and chilled goods while maintaining accurate records • Move, stack, load or unload materials in and about the plant, warehouse, staging area, etc. • May use bar code readers, computer terminals or other electronic devices to track product as it is moved • Stage & retrieve raw materials for the production department as needed • Keep floor and warehouse area clean of debris and garbage • Bundle cardboard bails as needed • Control food waste collection and pickup • Remove garbage as needed from production collection point • Operate an electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack, bailer, garbage compactor and floor cleaning machine, banding and shrink wrap machines • Complete forklift safety checklist bi-weekly and test forklift operation • Maintain courtesy and professionalism while interacting/working with vendors and truck drivers • Other duties as assigned Education/Experience/Special Skills/Certifications/Qualifications • Must be organized and orderly • Must have intermediate math skills and deductive reasoning skills • Must have attention to detail and take pride in being accurate • Able to handle multiple tasks assigned in a fast-paced environment • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check • Must be able to read, write, understand and speak effectively in English • Basic use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook • High school diploma or GED • Forklift Certification with one-year forklift experience
