Time to get out and socialize! Ted Fink will be performing his stories and songs, accompanied by the great Steve Hastie. Bring a chair, bring a beverage. This will be a concert, and also a street gathering for neighbors on Howard Terrace. Can't think of a better way to enjoy a summer evening. Feel free to bring an instrument, hopefully there will be a jam following the show.
Ted Fink is a master storyteller, musician and songwriter. He has performed at the National Storytelling Conference (twice), The Media Fellowship House, Stagecrafters Theater (1 man show--3 nights), Philadelphia Museum of Art, Allens Lane Art Center, The Philadelphia Fringe Festival (2 different years), The Kimmel Performing Arts Center, The Philadelphia Folk Festival (2 different years), and many clubs, taverns, bars, and backyards. An American Song Festival award winning songwriter, Steve Hastie has written more than 70 songs in a wide variety of genres, including pop, folk, rock, blues, folk-jazz and . . . well, the unclassifiable. Steve is an accomplished acoustic and electric guitar player and vocalist, and has recorded in Nashville and played with the bands Tyger, Flambeau and, most recently, Not My Dogg. His songs are often energized and rhythmic, with lyrics probing the beauty, sadness and simplicity of relationships, questions of identity, and the poignancy of the human experience. During the past year he has been writing and recording new material, studying guitar and getting together with friends on the front porch.
At this point I'm expecting everyone who is attending to be vaccinated. There will be lots of space to spread out.
