CT Radio Station Finds Replacement After Death Of Rush Limbaugh

CONNECTICUT — To his many of his faithful listeners, the late Rush Limbaugh is irreplaceable, but beginning on Monday Connecticut-based WTIC-AM1080 will try. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, Tom Shattuck will host a new show on WTIC during the bulk of Limbaugh's former time slot, which ran from noon to 3 p.m. Todd Feinburg's afternoon WTIC show will run from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Shattuck announced the news on his Twitter page Thursday; the Journal Inquirer also reported it Thursday. WTIC reportedly decided against continuing to go the syndicated route in the afternoons, and instead will broadcast local content during those hours. Limbaugh, one of the nation's most popular conservative radio hosts, and most controversial, died of lung cancer in February. In 2020, a day after telling his listeners of his cancer diagnosis, Limbaugh was awarded the Presidential Medial of Freedom by President Donald Trump. Shattuck is a former radio host and producer, and he is a senior editor at the Lowell Sun newspaper.
