BEL AIR, MD — Drivers should expect delays on Tollgate Road Saturday, June 19, officials say. The Harford County Public Library Foundation is hosting a fund-raising event called "Once Upon a Rodeo" at the Harford County Equestrian Center Saturday afternoon that will draw crowds. Gates open at noon for the event, which features a rodeo from 1 to 4 p.m., followed by a concert featuring renowned bluegrass and country artists. Ride-share drivers should drop patrons off at the dog park across the street. "Do not stop on Tollgate Road!" the Harford County Sheriff's Office said in a statement. General admission parking for the event is at Bel Air High School, where free shuttle service will continue throughout the day. Expect traffic delays on Tollgate Road in the area of the Equestrian Center this weekend for an event hosted by the Harford County Public Library Foundation. A petting zoo and story time will be among the offerings, as well as food vendors such as Chick-fil-A and Kona Ice. The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) ProRodeo professional sanctioned rodeo starts at 1 p.m. A series of concerts starts at 4 p.m., including the following: 2020 Grammy nominee for bluegrass Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen BandEd & Rick Duo2021 Academy of Country Music Award winner for New Male Artist of the Year Jimmie Allen "Once Upon A Rodeo," which is organized by the Harford County Public Library Foundation, will be Saturday, June 19, at the Harford County Equestrian Center, 608 North Tollgate Road in Bel Air. General admission tickets are $30 per person at onceuponarodeo.org. A $5 coupon is available at Harford County Public Library locations while supplies last. Tickets are nonrefundable. Kids 10 and younger get free admission, as do a limited number of first responders and military. Children 17 and younger who show their youth or young adult Harford County Public Library card at the gate will be admitted free of charge as well.
