POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ – Expected roadwork, including curb and sidewalk repairs, to be done on county roads in Point Pleasant Beach has been pushed back to after fall at the earliest, according to borough officials. Borough administrator Christine Riehl made the announcement at the June 1 council meeting. "We're talking with the county for the curbs and sidewalks along Arnold Avenue," Riehl said. "We reached out to them, and it's come to our attention that the prices for the work that are now advantageous won't be so advantageous probably in another year, which is when the work is going to be done." Point Pleasant Beach Mayor Paul Kanitra said the borough is urging residents who received letters from the borough to fix their curbs and sidewalks to pool together to get the work done, lessening the burden on the borough and county.
