The Livermore Valley Film Office Moves To Visit Tri-Valley

Press release from the LVCC: June 18, 2021 The Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce announced that its Livermore Valley Film Office has been transferred to Visit Tri-Valley, the destination marketing organization for tourism in the Tri-Valley region. Under its new leadership, it will be rebranded as the Tri-Valley Film Office. The transition occurred over a period of several months and was completed late May. "In a move designed to more fully advance the Tri-Valley as a destination attractive to the film industry, we are very pleased to work with our partners at Visit Tri-Valley to continue the important role of a regional Film Office," said Dawn Argula, Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce CEO. "The move is timely given that its long-time director, Jeanie Haigh, recently retired," said Argula. LVCC took on the role heading up the Film Office from the former Tri-Valley Convention & Visitors Bureau in 2006. With its bucolic country roads, ranches and wine region, downtown districts, 2 national laboratories, an airport and a diverse composition of residential, commercial and industrial buildings as backdrops, the Tri-Valley region attracts scouts from commercial, documentary and feature film production companies. Haigh was recognized by the film industry as a popular and effective liaison for scouting and production activities in locations throughout the Tri-Valley region. Local businesses benefited from the purchases of services, supplies and lodging needed by the production companies which often resulted in an annual regional economic impact well over a million dollars.
