That is the job. Carter had the Iran hostages and failed. Bush had 9/11 and failed. Trump had COVID and failed. The United States has had the most deaths and the highest death rate per thousand of any country in the world. If Trump gets credit for a boom economy, how is it possible he's not responsible for handling the thing that busted the economy? It doesn't make any sense. Other world leaders handled it with barely a blip on their GDP. The US sank like a stone due to Trump's complete incompetence and inexperience.
