Davidson Police Identify Woman Hit, Killed On Main Street

DAVIDSON, NC — Davidson police identified a pedestrian struck and killed on Main Street near CVS drugstore Thursday afternoon. The June 17 incident occurred around 1 p.m. on Main Street near the intersections of Chairman Blake Lane and South Street. Suzanne Younts, 64, died on the scene from her injuries, the Town of Davidson said. Thursday evening, the Davidson Police Department made an appeal for witnesses of the accident to call the department. DPD and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol are conducting an investigation, the town said. Additional assistance was provided by the Cornelius and Huntersville police departments.
