Oxford and Middlebury-Educated Tutor Available ABOUT ME: I have a master's degree in English with over fifteen years' tutoring experience. I have taught at both the high school and college levels and have tutored students from elementary school through graduate school. I thoroughly enjoy my work, connecting with students of all personality and learning types and witnessing increased confidences and abilities.  COLLEGE PREPARATORY TUTORING:  I enjoy helping students learn reading and grammar essentials to improve not only their test-taking skills, but their reasoning and communication skills. I use my former college composition course materials to teach the mechanics of English, reminding students that these lessons will prepare them for their compulsory composition courses as first-year university students. A former college writing instructor, I assist students in crafting/ editing essays, including their personal statements. Former students have been accepted at Stanford, Johns Hopkins, NYU, Cornell, Notre Dame, and many wonderful schools that are perfect matches for students of all abilities and interests.
