About this position SeeScan is currently seeking a Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician who will take the lead on projects to improve our workplace and help maintain our campus facilities. In this position, you will • Be responsible for maintaining electrical systems and equipment, including installing and maintaining electrical components, panel-boards, breakers, conduit, raceways and transformers • Install and maintain lighting system components such as LED, T5, T8 and HID fixtures • Disassemble and troubleshoot motors, generators, and other equipment in preparation for repair • Perform trade work including carpentry, framing wood/metal studs, drywall mud/tape, concrete form/pour/finish, install doors/jams/hardware, patch/paint, and layout and installation of T-Bar ceilings • Perform plumbing and mechanical duties such as: installing fixtures (water heaters, faucets, toilets, etc.), installing/repairing piping, and installing, maintaining, and repairing control valves, irrigation, sump pumps, compressed air systems, natural gas, water, and sewer lines • Replace and clean components in Reverse Osmosis water systems • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation, and heating systems • Replace belts, pulleys, shafts, bearings and pumps impellers • Other duties as assigned About you • Detail-oriented and natural problem-solver who enjoys working with their hands • Proficient in reading and executing plans and material take offs • Excellent communication skills • Team player, capable of taking the lead on projects • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision • Capable of observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the company • Ability to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices Desired skills and experience This is a sampling of the type of skills and experience we’d like to see in our ideal candidate.
