Immigration problem???

When I was a boy, guys including my own father would complain about immigrants flooding our nation and “stealing” our jobs. 40 yers later, it STILL has not happened. Do immigrants (Eagan and non legal) enter our country? Yes, they do. Have they ruined our nation or taken our jobs. Absolutely not. They have filled a void in our job market that americans are too proud to take. When is the last time that you saw an Caucasian american working the fields, mowing lawns for a living or cleaning houses and hotel rooms? How many Caucasian wash dishes in restaurants or dig ditches all day? Immigrants are grateful for these opportunities. Immigrants are not destroying our nation. They are enhancing it. I am a general contractor and I work along side dozens of immigrants from Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador every week. They show up every day on time with a good attitude. They have never stolen from me (unlike Caucasian employees). They work harder than American born workers. If I buy lunch for my crew, American born employees feel like they deserve it while immigrant employees just appreciate the gesture and the free meal. I literally know hundreds of immigrant workers. In my experince they are kind, warm, generous people who are honest and hard working. They are devoted to their churches and their families. All they ask for is opportunity. Some just want a paycheck. Others beco me licensed contractors and business owners. I do not see a down side to immigrant labor. The only potential negative aspect of immigrant labor is EMPLOYERS who do not collect and pay taxes on their workers. Every person in America needs to pay into the system if they want to reap the benefits of living in the US.
