JOB SUMMARY Quick Apply: The House Person is responsible for setting up banquet rooms and general upkeep of the facility. This position must be able to interpret the information on Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s) and fully execute details to the Club’s standards. Position is within the Unite Here Local #17 Union. Essential Job Functions • Work with the Lead Houseperson on priorities and course of action for room set-ups. • Double check individual BEO’s for details. • Move furniture, lamps, banquet tables, rugs, etc., in a very careful and methodical manner so there will be no damage to anything. • Ensure all lamps/lighting have appropriate bulbs for location and are operational for set-ups. • Drape and/or skirt proper pieces as well as making sure there are rugs for any portable bars. • Vacuuming carpets, walls, chairs and cushions. • Dusting chairs, tables, walls, lockers, window blinds and windows. • Dirty Linen; pick up from special points and return it to the Linen room. • Assisting others in department when necessary to accommodate business volume • Report all physical damage or malfunctions of equipment to the Lead Houseperson so it may be corrected as quickly as possible. • Any other duties necessary as directed by the Lead Houseperson or General Manager Job Qualifications • High School Diploma or equivalent • Minimum of two years hotel or private club cleaning with experience in setting banquet rooms. • Highly motivated with a positive attitude • Effective written and oral communication abilities • Significant attention to detail • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of job description Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; squat; climb; and use hands and arms to reach, finger, handle or feel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The ability to multi-task and complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
