Job Summary Quick Apply: The Guest Room Housekeeper and Cleaner is responsible for the cleanliness of all Clubhouse guest rooms along with maintaining the hallway surrounding those rooms. Assistance with general linens and Club cleaning will be assigned as necessary. Position is within the Unite Here Local #17 Union. Essential Job Functions • Clean and sanitize all occupied guest rooms and check-outs in accordance with Club standards outlined in the housekeeping training manual. • Restock 4th Floor Linen Closet with fresh linen from 5th Floor Linen Room. • Replenish supplies (snacks, beverages, shampoo, soaps, etc.) as needed in guestrooms. • Polish all brass on doors and windows • Keep silver trays polished. • Sweep, scrub and polish bathroom floors. • Wash windows, door panels and sills • Wash globes and light fixtures • Bring up supplies from the basement when needed. • Vacuum rooms and hallways • Dust furniture daily and polish once a week. • Check sheers and drapes for stains or damage and notify Supervisor of any problems so they can be cleaned or repaired. • Ice all rooms in the afternoon before incoming guests arrive. • When guest rooms don’t take priority, assist all other housekeeping staff in general cleaning. • All other duties necessary and directed by the Lead Houseperson & Front Desk Manager. Job Qualifications • High School Diploma or equivalent • Minimum of five years hotel or private club guest room cleaning experience • Highly motivated with a positive attitude • Good communication skills • Significant attention to detail • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of job description Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; squat and use hands and arms to reach, finger, handle or feel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The ability to multi-task and complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
