Description
Hi,
I am likely posting in the wrong section, so please forward to anyone you may know. My wife will be coming home from the hospital and will be bedridden at that point. We have a hospital bed, hoyer lift, commode and other important needed items.
I am looking for someone who has experience with bed toileting, cleaning her afterwards, moving her in bed, and some medical needs, such as administering insulin shots (I can do this, but if you are familiar with it, that is helpful). I will assist with toileting, and will need to learn the procedures involved. It will mostly be bm toileting, as we have the system that helps with urine collection (she will still likely need, at a minimum, a good cleansing, and maybe changing or her brief). I will be here at all times to assist as needed, but on rare occasions may have to run an errand. I am looking to cover late afternoons, mid-evening, and some late nights. You may at some point be able to cut back on hours, by being "on call", which would likely be when I cannot do something alone.
All should apply, do not be scared away by the medical needs part. Light housekeeping during down time may be helpful. Please no excessive cell phone use, emergency calls okay. An all around health-aide is important. This will be as little as 1- 2 hours per day, 3 or more days per week. References are required, CONFIDENTIAL.
