MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN NEEDED : We are looking for a full-time maintenance technician to work on our various apartment complexes throughout the city of Jacksonville. Lafayette Management Group was founded in 2017 and manages single-family and multifamily properties in the Jacksonville Metropolitan area with a focus on affordable housing. Lafayette Management Group operates, improves and manages the properties, and currently manages approximately 200 apartments and homes. Duties and Responsibilities: Maintenance Technician will be responsible for, under the direction of a property manager, the overall maintenance of the apartment complex and all areas related to the day‐to‐day maintenance operations of the community. Essential duties include but are not limited to: Electrical & Plumbing repairs -Repairing and treating structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, etc. Make ready units for new move‐ins -Schedule and complete preventative maintenance program -Paint & Drywall -HVAC Experience (preferred) PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU CAN NOT PERFORM ALL OF THE ABOVE Education and Experience Requirements: -Must pass a criminal background check -Must have at least two (2) years maintenance experience (past or current) -Must have the ability to communicate in English -Valid Driver’s License and Reliable Transportation Salary: -Starting pay is $20.00/per hour - Will go up to $22.00/per hour (after 180-day probationary period) Schedule: -Monday - Friday - 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (1-Hour lunch break included).
