Job description Plant/Manufacturing Job Title: Asphalt Plant Technician/Laborer Location: Albany Plant Travel Required: no Level/Salary Range: $14/$18 per hour Position Type: Seasonal / Part Time Manager/Supervisor: Joe Banuelos HR Contact: Dan Sullivan Type of Hours Monday- Friday and sometimes Saturdays. 25-40+ hours a week Recruiter Contact Joe Banuelos 971- PHYSICAL Address: Special Asphalt Products, Inc. 3484 Old Salem Road Millersburg, Oregon Job Description Roles and Responsibilities To serve as key conductor of the daily facility operations including but not limited to: • Number one rule is to always be safe. • You are responsible for showing up on time ready to work! Being late or tardy can will conclude with being let go. • Becoming a Mixer-helping take raw products and mixing them into various formulas to make Sealcoat. • Working on the line helping with the production of Crack Fill and its various forms. • Serve as a support role to all admin, sales and management staff. • Be willing to take orders and follow through with them. • Be willing and able to learn a new trade and possibly grow into a new role within the company. • Help maintain all stock and inventory levels. • Maintain a clean, orderly facility (office, restrooms, show rooms, warehouses, shops, storage rooms, parking lots, yards and tank farms) to attain a professional atmosphere. • Notify management of any problems or concerns along with creative suggestions or solutions. • Ability to stand for long period of time and work long hour. • Able to work in all weather conditions, especially hot outdoor temperature • Follow all safety and use proper PPE as instructed. • Attention to detail in their work and have a high standard of quality. • Adaptable to Improvements to Company Processes. Qualifications and Education Requirements: *Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs on a regular basis. *Forklift Operations-or be willing to learn. *Must be willing to attain Confined Space Training Preferred Skills: *Must be always professional. *Must have good communication skills *Works well on their own and with others as a team. *Must be able to move at a pace conducive to keeping up with the demands of our customers. Additional Notes: *Must be a Self-motivated team player with a good positive attitude taking pride in ownership. *These positions are seasonal and with seasonal change comes different projects.
