Description

Douggie is a beautiful, blonde, goldendoodle with tons of energy and a heart of gold. We recently took ownership of him from his previous owner and are unable to keep him due to some of his behaviors. He is a big boy and has not learned a lot of his basic manners and he finds it very enticing to use my toddler as a bowling pin while running circles in the back yard. He also is very mouthy and nippy, which would be okay while I train him, except that I have very young children who are scared of him. He also appears to have some kind of aversion toward males, or at least the ones that have been around him while in my care. He has not bitten anyone, but he definitely barks at strangers and especially men. I feel a home without small children would be ideal due to the behaviors I listed above. A single female would also be ideal or a single mom with older children and ample time to spend to train him. I know he had gone through training at one point and he does sit a lot of times when told, but he chooses when he wants to listen. The previous ownwer was a single mother with 3 kids who worked 12 hour days and it sounds like he spent a lot of time in his crate, which is why she rehomed him. I'm sure he will make someone an amazing dog and if you think that might be you after hearing about him, please reach out. I want him to go to a good home where someone can work with him and give him the time that he needs while also not going into things blind. If you are interested in learning more or would like to meet him, please reach out. Tell me about yourself and your living situation. Would Douggie have room to run, do you have other animals? I'm not looking to get rid of him to be rid of him. I will take my time and find a home that I feel will suit Douggie best. I'm looking forward to hearing from you! There will be a rehoming fee.
