Classic Hard Rock Metal band BONEYARD seeking lead singer/front man
Meets
New Bern NC
Description
Established classic/hard rock/metal band BONEYARD is currently looking for a new singer/frontman to complete our line-up and help us re-gain our prominence in eastern NC. Formed in 2010, original drummer and guitarist are still together along with our bassist, who has been with us since 2018. We are 3 extremely down-to-earth guys, all 50-ish, easy to get along with, and love what we do. Since losing our original singer/guitarist to life-circumstances, we have auditioned and worked with a few lead-vocalists over the last 3 years or so, none of whom have worked out long-term. We are still looking for the right person to fill this spot. So first, we are not your average garage band. We lean towards the bigger venues and opportunities, but we also pay our dues in the smaller places. We are old-school. We like big drums and loud guitars. We believe the music we play demands to be played loud n proud and with a degree of showmanship, so we make an effort to look and act the part and send people home with their ears ringing regardless of what setting we find ourselves in. Our set lists are primarily from the 70's and 80's, a little 90's, and includes AC/DC, Kiss, Judas Priest, Quiet Riot, Led Zeppelin, G-n-R, Crue, Alice in Chains, Ozzy, Sabbath... just to name a few. We do have a few originals as well. So... the "right person" will have above-average vocal ability, as a full 3 hour show of our material is no easy task. He will not only be able to sing, but he must also be a front-man. He must be that guy that knows how to perform the material, lead the band, exude confidence and attitude, and engage the crowd all at the same time. If this is not you, or if you don't know exactly what we're saying here, then honestly, you're not the one. To fit in well, you'll need to have a good attitude, be down-to-earth, have a good sense of humor, be free of drama and drug/alcohol dependencies, be able to practice once a week (typically Thursday nights, but negotiable), and have a reasonable amount of dedication to the project. Ability to play guitar is definitely a plus, but not required. We have a full-scale PA system large enough to play some of the bigger places, and a couple of good sound-techs we typically work with. We rehearse in New Bern, and expect you to provide your own transportation and gear. We do use in-ear monitors, so that will be provided if you come to audition. Check out BONEYARDROCKSNC on FB, and there are a few old videos floating around out there on Youtube as well. If you think you might fit the bill, let's get together and see what happens. Text Dave at 2 five 2-474= 3 six 20, or Ronnie at 2 five 2-341- 555zero. LET'S ROCK!!!!
