Description
Join us for “Surviving The Storm” Networking Series. For those traveling the journey of grief after a death by suicide to find their tribe. This event is FREE. Join us for “Surviving The Storm” Networking Series. BCC Evolution is bringing back our networking series to help the families, friends or anyone left behind after suicide, a child loss to the choking game or someone lost to an unknown cause of death. We are also open to those survivors that have attempted and/or struggle themselves from a mental health challenge. Families or individuals that have survived the loss of a loved one often feel left behind after their first year of grief, when the memorials stop, the get together’s, phone calls, cards, and text messages become fewer and fewer. The supportive structure seems to dwindle and grieving families are left on their own - feeling more alone than ever - to deal with an unbearable loss. “Surviving the Storm” is a safe place to be around people who understand exactly what you’re going through without having to talk about it if you don’t want to or if you do that is okay too. This is a new location since our previous location unfortunately shut down permanently last year. Dough Dreamery is a delicious edible cookie dough company and we are so excited to be partnering with them for these events. This is family friendly and we will have plenty of space for hanging out. If we happen to grow out of this space, we will give advance notice to all. It is important to grab a ticket even though it is free, so we can make sure we have enough space. Come find your tribe, grab your ticket now and join us every 3rd Thursday of each month! You can find out more about the nonprofit who started this revolution in 2019 with this new way of support and grief at: www.bccevolution.org. Our mission is to break the silence and stigma around mental health and give a voice to those that live with a mental health condition. Also build an army of everyday people who can support and/or be a lifeline for all humans when faced with Mental Health challenges through education, resources and effective communication. Our vision is to bring light to the epidemic of Suicide and stop the stigma around Mental Health. Mental health should be a normal everyday conversation and resources should be unlimited. BCC Evolution hosts multiple events throughout the year including our Annual Gala, MHSA Film Festival and a concert series. We also have several volunteer opportunities throughout the year.
