“Gather up the fragments, so that none may be lost.”
Developing an Annual Pledge Drive for 2022
The Financial Resources Committee of the Diocese of Washington is pleased to offer its first summer workshop on Saturday, June 26. This will be a hands-on workshop and experience shows that this is an excellent opportunity for several people from one congregation to work on materials and strategies for your upcoming Annual Pledge Drive. In addition to sharing specific materials from the EDOW Toolkit, we will also be discussing the possible impacts of fundraising as we emerge from a global pandemic.
Recently, Bishop Mariann held up the scripture, “Gather up the fragments, so that none may be lost” as one way of reminding us to gather up the pieces of our lives that we may have missed or neglected over the past year, to accept the parts that are truly fragmented and let them be, as well as being mindful of what lies beyond the margins or our awareness. We will explore how these suggestions can also apply to your church’s approach to their Annual Pledge Drive for 2022.
You are warmly invited to participate in this workshop in person. You will need to wear a mask during the workshop and we will assure that appropriate social distancing is maintained. The workshop can also be accessed via the Zoom link, shared in follow up emails.
The Financial Resources Committee is charged with the design and implementation of plans to strengthen the financial capacity and ministry of congregations in the Diocese of Washington.
