We are hosting an empowerment panel/luncheon for young men of color to inspire them in their careers, mental health journey, finances, etc We are hosting an empowerment panel/luncheon for young black men. We hope to combat the lack of support and encouragement given to young men of color in our communities. We plan to give them a forum and space to meet people who look like them and to show them that they can defy the stereotypes that have been imposed on them. Panelists will include student-athletes, coaches, entrepreneurs, business owners, STEM students, professors, men in ministry, etc. Attendees will enjoy a networking opportunity and the chance to meet people who are in the communities they wish to enter. It is also a chance to form a brotherhood with their neighboring peers. We will also give out raffle prizes such as free back to school haircuts. The event is in person and will follow health guidelines in accordance to the current pandemic.
