The 2021 DA Fun Run is back in person at the Fort Bend Justice Center! Last year we raised $11,000 for non-profits that help crime victims!
Last year's DA Fun Run created $11,000 in grants to non-profits that support victims of violent crime: Fort Bend Women's Center, Child Advocates of Fort Bend, DAYA, Katy Christian Ministries and Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse. Be a part of the solution by helping these groups and other local non-profits that help victims of violent crime. Each participant will receive a Fun Run T-Shirt, a medal, and a drawstring bag with additional items and swag. There will be trophies for multiple age groups. If you want to the run in your Halloween costume feel free to send us a picture or tag us!
The organization began in 2004 and was originally developed to help victims of sexual assault, however, the organization was also helping victims of domestic violence, robbery, murder, assault, DWI and other crimes. So in 2010 the group voted to change the name of the organization to encompass all areas we strive to impact to the Fort Bend County Crime Victim’s Response Team (CVRT).
The CVRT promotes networking between agencies and organizations so that ideas are exchanged and resolutions are put into action. The organization’s goal is to put the victim first in the initial response, handling, and disposition of the criminal case, and the transition from Victim to Survivor.
