Initially, she started by up-cycling her sister's cut off jeans into handbags. And believe it or not, she is still doing a version of that in her sewing classes. She creates nearly everyday. Three years ago, Emily decided to teach herself to paint and fell down the rabbit hole and has not stopped. So, you might not be surprised to learn that she combines abstract paintings, photography, dyeing, printing, and sewing into her wearable art. Emily doesn't believe that as you get older you stop loving fashion and wanting to look good. Her passion as a bespoke textile artist is to keep experimenting with different ways to create fun, sustainable fashion for all ages...the bolder, the better. Emily's style always comes with a pop art twist. Emily began her career working in NYC's garment district then became an Assistant Curator of Textiles for a museum and eventually settled in as a full time artist. Some of her clients have included the Rockefellers and Broadway stars and she considers it the highlight of her career to be showcasing in beautiful Milan in September.
