The Position: The Maintenance Technician’s primary responsibilities are upkeep, scheduling, cleaning, and maintenance of company vehicles and main facilities including production areas, office spaces, buildings, and grounds. General areas of focus include: • All company vehicles • Forklifts • Building and facilities • Parking lots and entrances • Snow and ice removal and upkeep • Walls, doors, windows, walkways maintenance and upkeep • Lighting • Wastewater tanks and storm water • Water lines, sumps, and pumps • Safety equipment upkeep and signage • Building coolers and freezers • Building heaters and furnaces • HVAC filters and air filters • Electrical repairs to amin building areas • Hazardous waste and pest control • Gates, safety, and fencing Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this person works as part of an internal support team to ensure that the physical work environment is safe, comfortable, and professional. General knowledge and skills needed for the position include: • Moderate skill in several areas which may include carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC • Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions (cold, hot, steamy) • Ability to work in confined spaces • Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects such as parts, motors, and hoses • Ability to drive a forklift and handle heavy objects safely • Ability to maintain both manual and computerized paperwork and data entry logs • Ability to troubleshoot in an expedient manner to lessen down time • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively • Strong verbal and written communication skills The Lifestyle: Live.
