Dog Groomer Smarter than you Dog, STYD is a growing, family run business. We pride ourselves in customer service and working with a fantastic group of dogs and clients. We are a daycare, boarding and grooming facility. Due to our excellent reputation and strong client base we are in need of increasing our grooming availability. This person is required to have a minimum of one year grooming experience. He/she must be able to work independently and as a team member. JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS: *Experience performing standard grooming services such as brushing and de-matting, specialized breed cuts, as well as creative dog grooming and styling methods *Ability to adapt breed cuts to meet individual clients wants and needs for their dogs' health *Enthusiasm for the evolving craft and trade of the dog grooming industry, including keeping informed on up to date styling methods and techniques *Professional and courteous interaction with customers. Processing payment for services rendered. Scheduling appointments *Stamina: Groomers are on their feet for long periods of time, strenuous positions are part of the grooming process, interact with large and small dog breeds as a Dog Groomer *Experience and enthusiasm for building and maintaining long-term client relationships Salon upkeep and cleaning *Confidentiality and professionalism is a must *Commitment to ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our happy hounds! WE OFFER: *50/50 commission split *Full-time Employment *Paid Sick Leave *Many opportunities for growth and building skills *Free shear sharpening on a regular schedule *Up to date equipment, owners willing to negotiate special requests for purchase for necessary equipment *A strong commitment to diversity *All tips moved forward to groomer for independent grooms (If bather used then 65/35 split with bather) *Negotiable schedule: Hours of operation are from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.
