Adventure Risk Challenge (ARC) invites you to Voices of Youth on Wednesday, July 21st at the Sierra Meadows Clubhouse. Join us from 5:30 to 6:30 pm to be inspired by 12 youth participants sharing stories from their life and insights from ARC's wilderness program - through poetry they've written during their ARC summer course. Afterward, meet our students and staff as we share complimentary food and cold beverages outside on the patio. Invest in our mission to empower underserved youth and help us reach our goal to raise $15,000 - every dollar donated will be doubled by a matching donation. This is a free event, but please attend with the intention to generously support Adventure Risk Challenge's transformational youth development programming.
Based on CDC recommendations and California regulations, unvaccinated attendees are required to wear a mask during the indoor portions of this event. Anyone is welcome to wear a mask anytime. Tickets (free) will be required for in-person attendance, and we are capping the audience size at a smaller number than in previous years. There is no cap on the number of livestream audience members!
Adventure Risk Challenge (ARC) offers a multi-year program progression that provides academic support, leadership opportunities, and wilderness experiences for rural, underserved high school students in the Central Valley and Sierra Nevada of California. ARC's programs more than close the achievement gap between low-income and high-income youth: 99% of alumni graduate on time from high school, 81% attend college, and all show a significant increase in positive identity and commitment to learning.
