Adventure Risk Challenge (ARC) invites you to Voices of Youth on Wednesday, August 4th at Cedar House Sport Hotel. Join us at 5:30. Adventure Risk Challenge (ARC) invites you to Voices of Youth on Wednesday, August 4th at Cedar House Sport Hotel. Join us from 5:30 to 6:15 pm for complimentary appetizers and beverages. At 6:30, you will be inspired by 10 youth participants sharing stories from their life and insights from ARC's wilderness program - through poetry they've written during their ARC summer course. Invest in our mission to empower underserved youth and help us reach our goal to raise $50,000 - every dollar donated will be doubled by a matching donation. This is a free event, but please attend with the intention to generously support Adventure Risk Challenge's transformational youth development programming. Based on CDC recommendations and California regulations, unvaccinated attendees are required to wear a mask during the indoor portions of this event. Anyone is welcome to wear a mask anytime. Tickets (free) will be required for this event, and we are capping attendance at a smaller number than in previous years. Adventure Risk Challenge (ARC) offers a multi-year program progression that provides academic support, leadership opportunities, and wilderness experiences for rural, underserved high school students in the Central Valley and Sierra Nevada of California. ARC's programs more than close the achievement gap between low-income and high-income youth: 99% of alumni graduate on time from high school, 81% attend college, and all show a significant increase in positive identity and commitment to learning.
